ACCESSIBILITY

ACCESSIBILITY

S. & T. Group is committed to providing quality goods and services to all customers, including those with disabilities. All goods and services provided by S. & T. Group shall follow the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity.

Below you can find an overview of our pledge to comply with the required standards set forth by the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Employment

S. & T. Group is an equal opportunity employer and employs personnel without regard to race, ethnicity, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disabilities. Our team will accommodate needs, as required and requested, throughout the entirety of the employment relationship, including during the hiring process, upon hire and assignment of tasks/duties or redeployment.

Communication and Information

We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that accommodates their impairment(s). Where assistive devices are utilized, we will ensure that our staff is trained and familiar with proper use and protocol. If requested, S. & T. Group will work to provide alternate materials or methods of communication which accommodate the person’s disability. Service animals and/or support persons will be allowed to accompany the customer on our premises, as long as it does not pose any health or safety concerns.

Customer Service

When providing customer service, S. & T. Group will ensure that all customers receive the same value and quality of goods and/or services by taking into account individual needs. We will allow customers with disabilities to do things in their own ways and at their own pace, as long as it does not present a safety risk. Additionally, alternative methods of communication, information sharing or service will be provided if requested by the customer.

Training

S. & T. Group will provide training to employees on the requirements of the IASR, AODA and Ontario Human Rights Code as they pertain to individuals with disabilities.
